19th Century Country House Wine Cupboard in Original Paint
19th Century Country House Wine Cupboard in Original Paint
2480
A huge 19th century country house purpose built wine cupboard. The sliding doors with brass handles open to reveal a gridded shelved interior that can fit 240 bottles of wine with 2 storage compartments to the base. The exterior of the cupboard retains its original dry paint.
Structurally in good solid order.
This cupboard came by repute from the cellar of a country house in the market town Keithley - West Yorkshire. Likely made specifically for the property.
The back of the unit has some historic rot damage at the base. This has had some plinth supports added which do the job well and it stands firm and perfectly usable.
