A wonderful 19th century Scottish grained pine chest of drawers. Originally painted to simulate oak with what appears to be a later layer of simulated mahogany. The top grained to mimic a single piece of timber. Bobbin uprights flanking a 2 over 3 configuration with a hidden drawer above and all with the original pulls. c1840
Sympathetically cleaned to remove dust and keep the dry finish.
Condition.
Crusty, flaky paint.
The top right drawer is missing its backing but will be traditionally put right with dovetailed joints and period timber.
