A well drawn early Hindley & Sons Chaise longue. Raised on 4 turned legs with the original gilt brass cup casters. The Shapely walnut frame bears the Hindley & Sons - Late Miles & Edwards, 134 Oxford Street - London, which dates this to around 1845.
Newly upholstered by us in Vintage Sanderson Chintz
Structurally in good solid order with a comfortable seat which appears to be fairly recent. The back and arm are both in good order and the filling are intact and firm.
The legs do show evidence of historic worm holes which is more cosmetic than structural.
