An exceptional Victorian armchair by the renowned Howard & Son's of Berners street, London. Raised on their classic turned walnut front legs and retaining the original ring cup castors. The back left leg stamped '3281-5833 HOWARD & SONS LTD BERNERS STREET' All four castors also stamped with the makers name.
Newley recovered in H&S factory ticking but retaining its original horse hair fillings and the original stamped hessian under lining and mostly intact paper label which marries up with the numbered leg.
