A pair of early 19th century chairs attributed to Miles & Edwards c1830
1183
A very good quality pair of William IV open armchairs. Blond mahogany frames with turned front legs and splayed legs to the rear, all with the original brass casters.
One chair bearing a stamped back legs and other tell-tale signs that allow me to attribute it to Miles & Edwards.
The second chair although the same dimensions has a slightly different frame build and has no markings. Also the casters are not the same and made by Lewty.
Both chairs are of the Ut-most quality throughout.
The frames are in good solid condition.
The timber could benefit from some nourishment and a little colour as there quite bleached out in places, I can arrange this along with the upholstery.
As with all my upholstered seating I do offer upholstery should you wish.
60cm wide
75cm deep
87cm high
40cm seat height.
