A superb 19th century Howard & Sons Grantley sofa. Raised on Howards uniquely hand turned walnut legs all capped with stamped H&S gilt brass cup casters. Retaining its original siege de-duvet down filled back and side cushions which are both sprung and the gentle outward curve of the arms make it as comfortable to sit sideways with your feet up as sitting forward. It's stretcher rail having the original paper label to the underside of the frame and the back leg number stamped 14598-3173.
A good solid example standing very well with tight joint.
