A large early 20th century carved wood armorial warrant bearing the arms of Prince Christian of Schleswig Holstein Sonderburg Augustenburg (1831-1917)

Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augusteburg (1831-1917) who in 1866 married Princess Helena Augusta Victoria (1846-1923), 5th child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. He became a Knight of the Garter in 1866, the same year as his marriage, which means that the arms relate to the period 1866-1917.
